10+ years of recent experience building and managing the maintenance team at poultry fully cooked and/or further processing facility required. Relocation paid (and it’s a very strong package).
Responsible for directing and leading maintenance departments in the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance staff.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Equipment/Facilities: Directs maintenance departments in the functional responsibilities for mechanical, plumbing, electrical, general construction, and related systems for facilities and/or equipment projects.
- Project Management: Directs maintenance departments in the functional responsibilities for projects from inception to delivery, including cost management.
- Planner/Scheduler: Directs maintenance departments in specifying and ordering replacement parts on a timely basis.
- Operational Excellence: Directs maintenance departments in the development of cost improvement initiatives.
Maintenance Manager must have the following
- Fully cooked maintenance experience (poultry)
- Par Fry maintenance experience (poultry)
- Ammonia refrigeration experience. Not an expert but knowledgeable.
- Wastewater experience. Not an expert but knowledgeable.
- 10 years of experience in poultry further processing with a preference for experience in fully cooked further processing.

Job Requirements
- Directs maintenance departments in leading the maintenance team to complete repairs in a timely manner with high safety and quality standards.
- Directs the maintenance departments in promoting Lean maintenance practices.
- Work with other directors and managers to coordinate and schedule all activities involved with these operations and maintenance duties and functions.
- Directs maintenance departments in maintenance scheduling/planning functions for facilities.
- Directs maintenance departments in the preparation of appropriate operational and preventive maintenance SOPs, as well as appropriate training protocols.
- Directs maintenance departments in establishing and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules and ensuring that PM is performed per the schedule and per SOP.
- Directs maintenance departments in the arrangement and scheduling for necessary outside repairs/maintenance/calibration from appropriate contractors/vendors.
- Directs maintenance departments in establishing and maintaining appropriate monitoring, maintenance, service, repair records, and logs.
- Responsible for working with and/or assisting the Senior Director of Operations in the improvement of operational efficiencies through maintenance and engineering management.
- Directs maintenance departments in preparing budgets, forecasts, and plans.
- Directs maintenance departments in the review, negotiation, and recommendation of maintenance and service contracts with appropriate contractors/vendors.
- Directs maintenance departments to identify and maintain critical spare parts inventory onsite or with contractors/vendors.
- Work with other directors and managers to coordinate and schedule all activities involved with these aspects of the operation and maintenance duties and functions.
